Another fortnight has whizzed by. We've been working and trying to sort out the logistics of our move to Cardiff then the Isle of Man. We had a house sale last Sunday, and took about £300 for our efforts. We shifted lots of bits and bobs, but still seem to have.... well.... lots of bits and bobs. All the pieces of furniture we wanted to sell did sell, apart from a lovely little mahogany table. That's now going to Stu & Holly's (if that's ok guys)! Ha ha! We loaded Stu's car up
with a shed full of fishing bait during the week, that's now stacked in his utility room. Sir Steve Prentice took the rest yesterday. That's now shelved in his shed! Brilliant, the really important stuff has been sorted! Ha ha!
The weekend before last Amanda attended another Journey Seminar (it was different this time, something to do with 'conscious healing' and 'communication'.) She stayed down near Heathrow airport on the Friday night in a little B&B (it was actually just a 'B', there was no breakfast on offer, in fact the 'B' that was still relevant was so uncomfortable it should just have been called ' & ' ). I'd sent her on her way with a cool box full of fresh organic salad, baked potatoes and of course the juicer, with carrots and greens a plenty!
After football on Saturday night I drove down to meet her after the course had finished. I had no SatNav, and predictably managed to throw an extra half hour onto what should have been a 75 minute journey. Rubbish! I finally picked Amanda up enroute between the Park Inn where the seminar was being held and her accommodation at about 8pm. We nipped back to the 'B&B' then headed out for dinner. It was a lovely evening.
The next morning we rose very early, and I prepared Amanda three flasks of juice, plus a fresh hand squeezed orange juice for breakfast. I dropped her off at the Park Inn, and got lost again for fifteen minutes, before arriving back into Banbury for about 9.30am. It was well worth the journey. Amanda returned that evening at about 8pm. She'd learnt alot about psychology and human conditioning (not salon style conditioning, Pavlov's Dog style condition!). It all sounded very interesting!
At the moment, I'm currently sat in the Penny Brohn Centre, whilst Amanda has her Shiatsu Massage. This time has nearly always been set aside for a little blog update. How's Amanda's health? Well she has been doing really well, apart from the stress of Robyn returning from University really ill. Initially the doctors thought it maybe glandular fever, but the blood results came back negative. A bit of rest, no constant boozing and partying, Amanda plying her with juices and fresh food, and now she is back to normal. She's already been out on Saturday and Monday night! It's amazing how quick a recovery can be when you feel you are missing out on things! She's decided not to return to Uni, and as we'd decided to hand in the notice on the property we rent in Banbury to head over to Cardiff, she was going to have to join us...."Cardiff - It'll be borin' ", of course it will Rob, one of the fastest developing cities in the UK, with a huge student head, of course it will be boring. Well this had Amanda stressing, the last thing she needs. Robyn determined not to join us, and wanting to remain in Banbury went and got herself a job yesterday at Bicester Retail Village, in Tommy Hillfiger. Independence begins! She still doesn't really have a grasp on money yet, and is already in debt after her few weeks attending further education..... This worries Amanda again..... Worry, worry, stress, stress..... No good at all. But it's hard not to. Even though Robyn is 20 years old, Amanda worries, and she always will. Typical of most Mothers no doubt.
Amanda has suffered a few aches and pains this week, but she ploughs on with what she is doing, determined not to let negative thoughts in. She just meditates her way through it. The stress of the last fortnight with everything going on with Rob hasn't helped, but hopefully she can see that Robyn is more than capable of taking care of herself, Rob just needs to realise that herself too! With spend thrift ways financial consequences must be addressed, this will be Rob's toughest lesson.
Amanda performed a week long liver cleanse about a fortnight ago. It involved a litre of apple juice each day combined with a relatively low calorie intake, consisting of all fresh organic produce (nothing new there) for the week, then on the final day of the cleanse, ingesting an epsom salts solution that evening, then finally drinking orange and lemon juice with castor oil. Before bed. The next morning when you visit the loo you get lots of little bile stones and liver stones..... You have to 'harvest' them if you want to see them..... That stage is optional..... But no doubt curiosity will get the better of you and before you know it..... Well I don't need to put it into words do I? Ha ha! As you all know the liver is the control centre of the body, performing well over 500 functions on a daily basis. This super hard working organ deserves a good service now and again, especially as most of us tend to abuse it from time to time. Clean out those tubes! That's what Amanda did. We all get these little blockages in the tiny tubes in our liver, like little liver based gall stones. These reduce the overall performance of your liver..... and none of us want that. I'm going to do one whilst I'm in Cardiff I think. I'll let you know what I find! Literally! Ha ha!
What's made me most happy over the past fortnight? Was it catching a perch of almost 3lb? Was it seeing Stu's perch of just over 3lb? Was it winning our football match last Saturday? No, none of the above. It was when I put on some great tunes in the house, not slowies, just great tunes, and Amanda and I danced holding one other tightly. After three tracks, she looked up at me with those big beautiful eyes, and said, 'My cheeks ache from smiling so much'..... Beautiful xxx
I can't wait until we start our travels. It will free Amanda's mind from the worries we all have to deal with on a day to day basis. Free to explore, free to think nothing..... How great does that sound!
I'm off to send out the Organic Fruit & Veg list.
Bye for now x
