Watched a very interesting documentary a couple of nights ago. It was based around foods, vitamins and natural compounds used in treating and curing illnesses. It illustrated that in America and the UK through misdiagnosis, allergic reactions to drugs with dire consequences and long term effects of prescriptions months or years down the line, along with hospital super bugs, pharmaceutical companies (pharma's) hospitals and the medical profession are right up there with the top boys for leading causes of death in the US! Bloody Nora, where does
that leave us all when we fall ill. Not good stats at all for those we expect to develop new drugs, those that select the the treatment and the facilities we must attend to get the drugs!
It also begs the question why these facts and figures do not lead to national and global uproar? The pharmaceutical companies (remember it takes anything from 500 million to 1 billion dollars to get a very so so, may help 1or 2 in 100 cancer treatment to market, so profits have to be made by these companies) and medical industry are making so many mistakes, carrying out inferior testing and case studies, with synthetic chemicals, synthetic hormones and synthetic compounds, that they are killing tens of thousands each and every years. Many more than are killed on the roads each and every year. That is in itself a very disturbing thought. The fact that there is always so much being done to keep road deaths down, you'd think the government would be going crazy to ensure new drugs are tested to death (a literate misnomer there I feel), before they can hit the pharmaceutical companies shelves, sales staff and onto the doctors and oncologists. The fact of the matter is, pharma's only have to prove their newly developed drugs work in two separate demonstrations. They must be able to prove that the treatment they are developing is more beneficial than current product. Not much bloody competition there then! Therefore these two separate tests can be... hmmm.... how should I put it? We are all well aware of the way politicians like to add a certain spin on things, nicely worded sentences, making a bad situation sound better, even sound good on occasion, well medical experiments, tests and results can be set up in a certain way to mask negative effectss, or reduce them at least, whilst enhancing the positives. 'Thar be munney in them thar terst tubes!!!' (said in a pirate voice for some reason. I must be thinking, along the lines of treasure to the pharma's).
Remember in a previous post, Taxol (American cancer drug) generated in over one million dollars per day in revenue once it went to market..... It doesn't take long for the pharma's to recoup their cash, and start making millions!
Studies into using 'megadoses' of vitamins, especially Vitamin C, has seen some incredible results over the past 20 years, but this is something that is not on offer in the UK. These megadoses need to be applied intravenously. Nutrient rich diets such as the Gerson Therapy has seen incredible results. Vegan diets along with meditation have seen some awesome turn arounds too! Seeing as there have only been 2 or 3 deaths due to mega doses of vitamins over the past 70 years, and no deaths due to high nutritional value (live enzymes, vitamins and compounds) therapies combined with meditation, why are these methods not applied at the initial diagnosis of cancer, before pumping synthetic pharmaceuticals into their victi.... ahem... sorry patients? Nah, let's go for the pharma synthetic medicine first, the one with a plethora of side effects. Strange eh? Saying that, is it strange, probably not..... There is no profit in good food, and being able to meditate. These are things we can do for ourselves. The high quality vitamins, supplements and compounds do cost, but if you are fuelling your body correctly you shouldn't need many anyway.
